Bio
An original member of the old Ofoto regional amateur team, Tim Larkin
is Kodak Gallery/Sierra Nevada's elder statesman at 33 and will serve
as the team's co-captain.
Tim races aggressively in long, hard, hilly events, and is one of
the few riders who have finished all four editions of the San Francisco
Grand Prix.
Over the July 4th weekend, Tim took third place overall in the Fitchburg-Longsjo
Classic after finishing third in the difficult Mt. Wachusett stage.
On March 26, Larkin scored an impressive victory in the notoriously
difficult Copperopolis Road Race, outsprinting David Zabriskie (CSC)
and Eric Wohlberg (Symmetrics Cycling) in the final meters of the
106-mile race.
Tim began racing when knee injuries curtailed his high-school soccer
playing and has progressed steadily since, earning his greatest career
results in 2004 with a hillclimb stage win at the Tour de Nez and
second place overall at the Volta do Estado de Sao Paolo de Ciclismo
in Brazil.
An architect with degrees from UC-Berkeley, Tim has always balanced
racing with his career and is often able to bring his work with him
on the road. 2005 opened an exciting new chapter in Tim's life, as
he and his wife Sandy experienced the birth of their first child in
April. |
